Twist on a Bar Cart

{image via Camille Styles}

I just love how Camille Styles used a radio flyer wagon as a bar cart for her Patriotic Pool Party. With bar carts all the rage right now, it is fun to see them reinvented in a unique way. With July 4th just days away, this bar cart is perfect because not only is it portable, it seamlessly fits into a red, white and blue color scheme.

Another beverage option for a wagon is to turn it into a cooler. Simply fill wagon with ice and use it to chill your wine, champagne, beer or sodas.  Isn't this so much more stylish than a typical cooler??! It is ideal for your next casual outdoor celebration...

Bruschetta Bar

I'm a big fan of serving bruschetta for a party appetizer, but I've never thought about setting up a bruschetta bar.  How genius?! I absolutely love this idea for a summer tapas party. If you'd like the recipe, head on over to What's Gabby Cooking, to check it out!

Tablescape Tuesday: Red, White and Blue

With the 4th of July just around the corner, it's time to start planning your patriotic celebration! Sometimes I feel that red, white and blue themes can get a little cheesy. However, this one is rustic yet classic and is the perfect nod to this holiday. I love the casual feel, it makes me want to kick off my shoes, walk through the sand and grab a festive frozen drink...

It's A Boy!

Well, I've been absent lately from my blog for a very good reason. My sweet little baby boy arrived on May 30th at 8:26am, and has kept me very busy ever since! James definitely surprised us by coming into the world a week early. I had big plans to work on blog posts and my calligraphy the weekend he arrived. Plus, I was so looking forward to being lazy and resting in those final days before his due date. Ha! So much for those plans! Despite the lack of sleep (which is really not fun!) I am slowly coming out of the mommy fog. I can hardly believe that James will be a month old this Friday.  He is becoming more and more alert and I can't wait for his personality to start showing. I hope to be more regular with my blogging, but that all depends on James and if he continues to nap well :)!
